Terms of Service
Your agreement with Potomac Worx
Effective Date: Oct 19, 2025 Version 1
Registered Entity: Potomac Worx, LLC, a Virginia-registered Limited Liability Company.
By accessing or using Potomac Worx services, including dumpster rentals, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
1. Payment & Credit Card on File
All rentals and service fees will be charged to the credit card on file via Square.
1.1. Card on File Authorization
I authorize this business to keep my credit card on file for any future transactions until I request a cancellation.
I understand that the terms of this authorization will remain in effect until I request that they be terminated. I acknowledge that I am responsible for making this request in writing.
1.2. Recurring Charge Authorization
This recurring charge is to cover the cost of Potomac Worx Services. I authorize this business to charge and keep my credit card on file for any overages and violations of the terms of service.
I acknowledge that I will receive a receipt for each charge made and that no prior notification is needed unless the date or amount of a charge is subject to change, in which case the Business must notify me of such changes at least 7 days in advance of when the change(s) will take affect.
I understand that the terms of this authorization will remain in effect for 7 days after completion of service.
2. Essential Disclaimers
Additional Fees (if applicable)
- 💵 $120 per ton over 2 tons
- 💵 $50 per day after 7 days
- 💵 $500 exceeding dumpster wall height
Prohibited Materials
Our dumpsters are for non-hazardous waste only. The following materials are strictly prohibited:
- ☣️ Radioactive or ☠︎︎ Biohazard Materials
- 🏭 Industrial Waste, 🛢️ Sealed Drums, & Contaminated Absorbents
- 💥 Fireworks/Explosives, Flammable Waste, including Fuels, Oils,🔋 Lithium Batteries (except Automotive "Lead-Acid' Batteries which will be recycled for a fee),🎨 Non-Latex paints & Lacquers
- ⚠️Asbestos, 💉 Medical Waste (Sharps, Syringes & Hypodermic Needles) & other Hazardous Materials
- 🧪Chemicals and solvents
Customers are responsible for all fines, penalties, or additional charges resulting from prohibited items placed in containers.
🚨 Required: Refrigerator & Freezer Door Removal
Please remove doors from refrigerators and freezers. This is a mandatory safety requirement to prevent child entrapment hazards. Appliances with doors attached may be refused or require additional processing fees.
⚠️ Overloading & Weight Limit
Dumpsters must not be filled above the designated fill line. Overfilled containers cannot be transported for legal and safety reasons. Additional fee of $2500.00 may apply if waste exceeds max weight limit of 4 tons and/or transfer/extra trips are required.
/┆\ Driveway / Surface Damage
While we take precautions to protect driveways and surfaces during delivery and pickup, our trucks and containers are heavy. Potomac Worx is not responsible for damage to pavement, asphalt, concrete, grass, curbs, or other surfaces.
🔑 Access
Customers must provide clear, level, safe, and unobstructed access to the dumpster location. If delivery or pickup is obstructed, trip charges may apply.
📅 Rental Period & Additional Days
All bookings include a 7-day rental period. Additional daily charges $50 per day apply if the dumpster is kept beyond the agreed rental term.
🌦️ Weather & Scheduling
Delivery and pickup times are approximate and subject to delays due to weather, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances. While we make every effort to honor scheduling requests, exact times are not guaranteed.
🧱 Heavy Materials & Yard Waste
Concrete, rock, sod, bricks, and yard waste require special dumpsters and these materials should not be placed in our standard dumpsters without consultation. If small amounts are placed in our dumpster then the dumpster should not be filled past the 25% full point. Please give us a call to verify usage.
3. Cancellation Policy
- 48-Hour Cancellation: Full refund if canceled at least 48 hours before scheduled delivery.
- Late Cancellation: Bookings cannot be canceled within 48 hours of delivery. Please contact customer service at 888-971-WORX for assistance.
- No-Show Policy: If you are unavailable for delivery without prior notice, trip charges may apply.
- Weather-Related Cancellations: Potomac Worx reserves the right to reschedule due to severe weather.
- Customer-Initiated Changes: Date or time changes are subject to availability and may incur fees if made within 48 hours of delivery.
4. Liability & Insurance
- Customers are responsible for fines, penalties, or additional charges resulting from prohibited materials, exceeding dumpster wall height, or weight overage.
- Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Potomac Worx from claims, damages, or liabilities arising from improper dumpster use or prohibited materials.
- Municipal permits (for street or HOA placement) are the customer's responsibility.
5. Call Recording & AI Usage
Telephone calls, messages, and other communications with Potomac Worx may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and service improvement.
AI agents may assist in providing services, answering questions, or supporting customer interactions. Automated responses are intended to enhance your experience.
If you do not consent to recorded calls or AI-assisted interactions, please contact support@potomacworx.com before engaging.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
